Diem Brown Obituary
Brown first won fame nearly a decade ago as a competitor on MTV's "Real World/Road Rules Challenge." She was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer at age 23, and announced her real-life challenge on the show.
She continued to appear on "The Challenge" until recently.
Meanwhile, as she fought her illness, she founded Medgift.com, an online registry for those with medical troubles to seek financial donations as well as physical and emotional support.
As recently as last month Brown was voicing brave defiance, telling People magazine that she wanted everyone to know "the fight is worth it."

TO Diem's family, I didn't know Diem until she appeared on MTV and I have followed her through her journey. My mother had cancer and I know how you all feel. She is an angel up above and looking down on all of us. As a girl scout troop leader she earned all the awards and above. May she fly high in the sky and soar through the clouds. She will always be remembered.

I'll never forget the first time I saw Diem on TV. Not only did she have a beautiful presence about her but her story was truly inspiring. I could tell from that point on that this girl was a fighter and would not give up for anything. She is such an inspiration and role model to us all. On Friday the world lost a positive role model while heaven gained an angel.

My heart sank when I learned of Diem's passing as I always thought she would survive the battle with cancer. She has always been an inspiration to live each day out loud and to not allow fear to be crippling. I'm just another fan that came to know a beautiful, vivacious, witty, absolutely captivating woman on a tv show and had no clue just how much of an impact she would have on my life and the lives of so many others. Diem gave the world a light like none other and she did it with an infectious smile that allowed us to know that no battle was going to get the best of her. I just wanted you guys to know that I read Diem's blog on the People Magazine Website. At the time I was in the process of losing my Godparents to Multiple Myeloma and Stage IV stomach cancer. Her fight brought me hope. I rooted for her the way I rooted for my Aunt and Uncle. When she announced she was cancer free, they had already passed. I found joy in her remission announcement during my time of intense sorrow. It was so refreshing to see her beat this disease with such tenacity. After her announcement in August that they found more tumors my heart sank. I'm sorry for your loss. Know that her fight not only helped me through a rough time, but tons of others. She fought with valor. She didn't lose this fight; it was just the end of her journey. Your family and her loved ones are in my thoughts. I thank Diem for getting me through a tough time. Much love.

How amazing U were that you touched my heart and had nothing to do w/ cancer issues...
