Jackson Vroman Obituary
Vroman was the 31st selection in the second round of the 2004 NBA draft. According to Sports Illustrated, Vroman played in 87 career NBA games during his time with the Phoenix Suns and the New Orleans Hornets from 2004 to 2005.
The Suns confirmed the death Monday via a tweet.
"We are very saddened to learn of the passing of Jackson Vroman," the team tweeted. "Our thoughts are with his family during this time."
The Lebanese Basketball National team also reported Vroman's death and posted a video tribute on its official Facebook page. Although Vroman was born in Laguna, California, he was naturalized as a Lebanese citizen in order to play for the national Lebanon team.
"May you rest in peace, Jackson Vroman," the Lebanese team wrote on its Facebook page. "Very sad news."
Vroman attended and played basketball for Iowa State University, which also reported Vroman's death Monday via its website.
Although his death was initially reported as a result of a car accident, former teammates learned later that Vroman was found dead at his home.
Vroman also played international basketball in countries including Spain, China, South Korea and the Philippines.
Vroman's friends included Reggie Bush and Justin Bieber.

I am so very sorry Jackson isn't here anymore. I bet he's playing basketball somewhere great! Jackson was a bright spot in my life. I can tell you story after story.
