Angela Raiola Obituary
Jennifer Graziano, the producer of the VH1 series, confirmed the death. Raiola died at a hospital in New York City, with relatives and friends at her side.
Raiola, also known to the show's viewers as Big Ang, owned the Drunken Monkey bar in Staten Island, New York. The show premiered in 2011. Her doctors diagnosed the cancer in March 2015.
The native New Yorker’s uncle, Salvatore "Sally Dogs" Lombardi, a captain of the Genovese crime family, which made her, technically, a mob niece, not a wife, but her personality made her the star of the show.
On Wednesday, Raiola appeared on the “Dr. Oz” show to share her cancer story with the popular heart surgeon's fans.

The world needed and still needs more people like Angela..she had a beautiful soul and had the ability to make people laugh which is something everyone has to do more of..as a cancer survivor myself (3x's), i understand what she went through..i am so glad she is at rest and sits with God now..they say God always gives the hardest battles to His strongest soldiers and He also takes His angels home first..r.i.p. Strangely enough,when I first saw Ang appear on Mob Wives, I thought of her with my eyes and not my heart...My eyes said she must be a real tough lady living a real rough life. My eyes were wrong,and then I started watching her with my heart. Angela's beautiful soul revealed itself on every episode and that was wonderful...How many people would have loved to have had a friend like her? The Grace of God is with her.
Sorry to family and friends who are receiving this late, just heard of her passing up here in Canada, many people in my workplace have been saddened. It's a living tribute to Ang, how her essence reached distances.

Big Ang I will miss you, even though I only know you through the TV show Mob Wives, you are one of the best people I have ever known. You tried to keep everyone in line and keep them as friends. I know that job was hard to do with everyone. They all had an opinion of everything. I don't know who will do that job now. I know that you are at peace now and you are cancer free and walking around with a bran new body. I have a rare and aggressive autoimmune disease, that's bringing in others, with a possibility of cancer!!! I have been hospitalized from Oct 8, 2011- last year, 2015, and praying to go as an out patient!!! I lost my Father and Great Aunt to lung, and throat cancer's, and my Cousin, who was more like my Brother, to brain cancer!!! I know you are in Our Father Gods Heavenly Arm's!!! I Thank God You Had An Incredibly Gorgeous And Supportive Family And Friends By Your Side!!! I Lift Each And Every One Of Your Family And Friend's-Up To God, In My Constant Prayer's!!! I remember u from new utricht hs, and from ave U. Whenever i went to coney island i went by way of sheepshead bay. I met u a few times there. I want u to know i will never forget u and how nice you were. The world has lost an angel, but your memory will live on forever because you were the defination of what and how life should be. I hope you are at peace and no longer have to suffer from cancer. I would have liked very much to meet you. I watched Mob Wives faithfully over the years. I wanted to visit The Drunkin' Monkey and meet you but you passed away before I had the chance. We shared the same disease, I too have been fighting cancer for the past 5 years.
