Jo Cox Obituary
Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn told the BBC that the U.K. would be “in shock at the horrific murder.”
“Jo died doing her public duty at the heart of our democracy, listening to and representing the people she was elected to serve.
“In the coming days, there will be questions to answer about how and why she died. But for now all our thoughts are with Jo’s husband Brendan and their two young children. They will grow up without their mum, but can be immensely proud of what she did, what she achieved, and what she stood for.”
In a Facebook post, Clive Lewis, one of Cox’s colleagues in Parliament, said Cox “was a deeply good person who devoted her life to making life better for people in her constituency and the millions in our country and world who need voices like Jo’s speaking up for them.”
“It is heartbreaking to imaging the grief of her loved ones and to know that her two young children have lost their mother,” Lewis said. “I shall remember Jo with great affection and miss her greatly.”

The lost of a loved one is never easy, tragic lost can be devastating but we go on...because we have to, because our loved one would want us to...we go on. It is heartbreaking that people far away from the UK came to know of Jo Cox only with news of her shockingly brutal murder. Listening to her articulate, passionate, principled, assertive voice in the UK parliament made me feel that but for this tragic loss this bright star was destined for leadership far beyond Yorkshire, on the world stage where we would all have benefited from her wisdom and passion for good. Her loss is being felt on so many levels. Brendan Cox's exceptional tribute to his exceptional wife so shortly after her death eloquently captured how precious she was to him and their children and how proud and supportive he was of her sustained advocacy for others.
Sincere sympathy to Jo Cox's husband, little children, parents, family, friends and colleagues from Ottawa, Canada.

She was a mother, she was young, she was an activist for the Good.
She will be missed by her children and their father, maybe there still are parents too, who lost their beloved daughter. What a tragedy, what a catastrophe for her family and friends.
She was a politician with future. What could she have done for UK and for EU. Her party colleagues and the citizens will miss her painfully.
This is an unfortunate loss to us all.
