Japanese Disabled Care Home Attack Victims Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 25, 2016.
At least 19 people have died in a knife attack at a residential care center for people with disabilities in the Japanese city of Sagamihara, according to multiple news sources.

According to the authorities, there may be up to 45 others who are injured.

The suspect turned himself into the police voluntarily.

He reportedly went into a police station and said, "I did it." He also allegedly told police that he was a former employee of the facility.

The attack was the worst mass killing in Japan, which has one of the lowest crime rates in the world, in the post-World War II era.

All of the dead, nine men and 10 women, were residents of the center.

No doubt many of the dead and injured were survivors of World War II. It makes this event an even bigger tragedy. Surviving a war and attacked by one of their own countrymen is beyond sad. A moment of prayer for those that have gone to Heaven and those who are in hospital fighting to live.

Japan is the most beautiful nation on earth largely because of the beauty within its people. Let no negative action change who you are. Many blessings to all. - J Seal
