Michael Massee Obituary
A representative at his talent agency, Greene & Associates, confirmed his passing to Entertainment Weekly.
Massee also played The Gentleman in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.” Massee played the character Fun Boy in the movie “The Crow.” He was the actor that accidentally killed Brandon Lee during the filming of the movie. Massee was unknowingly using an improperly prepared prop gun during filming of the scene.
Massee was traumatized by what happened with Brandon Lee and he took a year off from acting after the accident. He apparently never watched the movie. In an interview years later, Massee said he still had nightmares about the tragedy saying, "I don't think you ever get over something like that."

Massee also had roles in the movies “Seven” and David Lynch’s “Lost Highway.” On television he is best known for playing villain Ira Gaines in the first season of “24.” He played an imprisoned serial killer on the first two seasons of “Rizzoli & Isles.”
Massee and his wife Ellen owned a clothing boutique in Los Angeles.
Actress Angie Harmon tweeted “My heart is heavy to hear of his passing. He was IMMENSELY talented & had the kindest soul. I am privileged to have known him.”
