Japan Avalanche Victims Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 27, 2017.
Seven high school students and a teacher have died after an avalanche pounded a ski resort in Japan, according to multiple news sources.

The disaster occurred at about 9:20 a.m. local time at the Nasuonsen Family Ski Resort in Nasu, a town about 75 miles north of Tokyo.

The students were part of a mountaineering class taking climbing lessons at the resort, which was closed for the season.
