I'm deeply saddened by this news. I grew up with Drew "D-Dub" in Poway and remember him being a great friend, exceptional athlete, but remained humble. You will be missed brother. My prayers are with you and your family.

Our deepest condolences to the Wahlroos family on the loss of Drew. Drew, D-Dub, frequented our home often while growing up in Poway. We admired his drive to be the best, sense of humor and engaging smile. He was a fine young man and will be missed deeply. May God grant you strength during these challenging days ahead.

My sincere condolences to the Wahlroos family over the loss of Drew. I still remember that little kid on my Pop Warner team that was so upset that he missed two extra points when we lost to RB. He made up for it big time in our bowl game two weeks later. Having coached him again in high school was a pleasure. He was such a great kid and I knew he would make It big one day. I am deeply saddened to hear about his passing. We will all miss him dearly.
