I am sorry to hear about the lost of Gena Turgel. After reading all about what life was like for her back then during the holocaust, and all the things that she went through. What I learned from her is that we all should never ever tolerate hatred again in any way. Gena Turgel will never be forgotten. My condolences go to her family.

Beloveds, it is written that the days of our years are 70 years, and 80 years if one is strong. (Psalm90:10) Gena Turgel was strong indeed! May you celebrate a life well lived and loved by many.

Certainly if we died together, we shall also live together, if we go on enduring, we shall also rule together as kings; if we deny, he also will deny us; if we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself.

Dear Gena: In the face of "Hell on Earth," that you suffered through for years at the hands of evil men in the Holocaust...You chose to show comfort and to console your fellow prisoners who were ill in the Death Camps. May you now find comfort and consolation in the Heaven of God.

I have always been interested in the Holocaust...mostly because I could not see how anyone could treat other human beings like the Nazi's treated the Jews simply because one single evil man told them to do so.
I became friends with a Holocaust survivor during the 1980's. I asked her what set these monsters apart from everyone else. Her reply was, "They were just men like any that you would meet on the street."
I only pray that this evil does not happen again, yet it is still happening with other groups.
I am so sorry for what you, and others, went through. I pray that you will truly rest in peace and safety.

Dear Turgel Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. To lose someone we love to death is an unspeakable pain. Gena was a beautiful example of strength and kindness in a cruel world. A promise from our Loving Heavenly Father can be comforting. He promises one day very soon to away with wicked people and to give the earth to the meek forever. (Ps. 37:10,11) Prayers for your family.

My father was a liberator of the Dachau concentration camp and would sometimes speak of the horrors and atrocities he witnessed there. May God bless Gena Turgel and her family at this sad and difficult time.
