I just saw an episode Ellen posted , as a memory because she was thinking of you. I think you were a glorious human being, you were funny, wise, humble, and above all pure. Maybe god bless your friends and family and help them cope with the loss of you. And I know your in heaven right now with gods comfort! You were a huge inspiration to so many! It's May 2019. I just saw you on Simply Ming and felt that I got to know you in 30 minutes and heard of your plan to move to LA to start a restaurant...only to learn at the end of the broadcast that the show was aired in memory of you. It gripped me. So I just wanted to write here for your family to read that I am so sorry for your loss. That is definitely such a emotional shock. I have been watching Top Chef from the start, but the very first year my 18 year daughter decided it was time to see why I enjoyed it so much, just happened to be Fatima's season. And as it just so happens, my daughter's favorite ended up of course being Fatima. My daughter thought her smile was so beautiful and her personality was electric. I am just stumbling across this truly saddening news. I will wait until my daughter gets home from school tomorrow and tell her this terrible news. She will be heartbroken, she saw Fatima as a roll model and inspiration...Condolences doesn't even begin to say enough, I can only imagine she was pretty close to being perfect in her short time here. Please know that to her family y'all will be in our prayers...Sleep sweet beautiful child

I was a quiet fan of this wonderful, perky, disciplined, risk taker. I watched her on chopped, and had planned to experience her cooking soon. I cannot express the depth of the shock I received when I googled her to see where she was cooking now, as I planned an upcoming significant event, only to read about her untimely demise. I only knew her from her screen appearances, and loved her so. I can only imagine her family's sense of loss and the void she left among her friends and near and dear ones. She and her loved ones will be in my prayers............
