Dear Jerry Merryman Family,
Jerry was my neighbor for many years in Houston, Texas and we valued him so much for his kindness and always pleasant demeanor. He and his family were held with love in our hearts and will be forever. It was comforting to know that he was next door. God keep you Jerry.

We are truly saddened to hear about the death of Jerry, and we send our heartfelt condolences to you. The world has certainly lost a talented person. Jerry accomplished much in his life, and he remained a humble person never bragging about his accomplishments. This humility is beautiful and worthy of imitation. We are truly thankful that his inventions helped so many people and have made our lives simpler and easier. Jerry will certainly be missed.

My condolences to the Merryman family. I understand that Jerry was a very brilliant man and was able to give us the hand held calculator which relieved us from the slide rule. I remember not being allowed to have a calculator in college back in the mid 70's. I have owned many TI-35's and still use my TI-36X. God bless and keep you through this difficult time of loss. We have lost a good man!
