I knew Zeke when I retired to Destin and played golf in a group he was in. What a treat to know him. He was as good of a man as I have ever known. I loved him very much

I was just a little kid, ten years old. My father died and my mom took me on a train trip from Chicago to Green Bay. My uncle took me to De Pere to watch the Packers practice at St. Norbert´s College. I got Zeke´s autograph and Paul Hornung´s and Bart Starr´s autograph. They paid attention to a ten year old. I am forever a Packer fan...watching the game right now. Went to a Bears Packer game several years ago...Packers won. I thought the Bears fans were going to choke me because because I was cheering so loud.

My condolences to Mr. Bratkowskis family. Although not a Packer fan, I was a young NFL fan during the teams Lombardi era. My memory of Zeke is as a reliable backup to Starr in many crucial situations. With his death and that of others from that time I feel a little more of my youth slip away. May he Rest In Peace.

Met Zeke and. Bart in the late 1990's when we were members of Burnt Pine golf club in Sandestin, Florida. Two of the best people I have ever known. I pray God will give Zeke's family strength to endure this hardship. Rest In Peace, Zeke! So glad to have known you! You were really an inspiration to me. You were so nice to my grandson, Cass, back then when he was only about 7 years old. He still talks about you guys. God bless.

One of my fondest memories, growing up in the 60's, in Granada Hills, Ca., was playing Little League baseball with your son Bobbie. I remember you coming to the games and it was special, for a young sports junkie like me, to meet a real life Hero. My late father was hard to impress, but you were someone he really admired. Not only as a professional athlete but a great human being as well. My condolences to the entire Bratkowski family.

My condolences to the Bratkowski family. I followed Zeke's career the moment he became a Green Bay Packer. He was the epitome of a good teammate, a quality not often found in players who are back-ups. Reliable when called upon, it was obvious he was an integral contributor to the success of my beloved Green Bay Packers. Today, he joins Bart Starr in a heavenly huddle. My thoughts and prayers are with all who knew and loved this Packer great.
