So saddened and shocked, nothing anyone can say will make this any better. Colby, we didn't know you personally, but we feel we knew you because you played for the Oilers, and we love our Oilers' players. You brought dignity, fun and skill to the team and your passing was far too soon - well before you reached your full potential as an Oiler. Tears have not stopped flowing across the hockey world, and from those who knew and loved you. My tears haven't dried and I wish I could have known you - my grandsons are your age, have red hair..... you were like an honorary grandson to us. They still love you, you will always be loved and never forgotten.

We were so sorry to hear that Colby Cave passed away. While we did not know him well, we had the opportunity to watch him play with the Edmonton Oilers. He was a true professional and team player. We have faith that he is in God's hands now and will be rewarded for the good life he led.
