To The Family,
Many do not know what a brilliant baseball man Jim Frey was. The teams that he managed made it to the playoffs often, and from what I recall he always had a good rapport with his players. Please accept my deepest thoughts of sympathy in the passing of Mr. Jim Frey.

I owe my career baseball career to JIm Frey. Jim resigned me in 1969 after being released by the Phillies as a weak hitting catcher with a good arm. Thankfully Jim converted me to a pitcher.
Jim was a good baseball man who worked in many areas of the game; player, scout, manager, general manager, and radio commentator. A nice person and good family man . He loved his wifes , Joan and family dearly. I am sure he is playing a round of golf in a good place. RIP, Jim .

As a former Chicagoen, I very familiar with the Chicago Cubs
I appreciate all ones who helped them, and as manager, it had to be a rewarding experience. May the God of Comfort, continue to comfort the family, during these difficult times.

Jim Frey did a good job with the Cubs and brought them a return to victory, like Zimmer, Piniella and finally Maddon did, and with the Royals, made men like Howser and Whitey Herzog proud, rest in peace Skip!
