She made female broadcasters acceptable when women were discouraged from watching football. I'll always remember watching her broadcast the super bowl, one of my all time favorite memories of football.

Having met Jeannie and her beautiful family in 1972 in Greece left an imprint on my heart that has not been forgotten. She was writing a travel book as their family (Johnny and 4 kids) travelled in a van through Europe.
My parents were staying in a very modest hotel when an early morning encounter between my Dad (George Morel) and Johnny Morris occurred. Dad recognized Johnny as we were also from Chicago and was a bit star struck meeting an actual former Chicago Bear!
I remember Jeannie as a petit, beautiful, kind, lovely, gracious woman.
My condolences to her wonderful family with warm memories of a special time long ago.

We met the Morris family in 1973 while in Europe. Such beautiful souls. I loved to hear Jeannie's life stories about career, husband and most about the family she do loved. What a blessing to many she was. May you be in peace and may all that know you be thankful for your friendship. Prayers to the family.

I met Jeannie in 1970 while I was working at Marshall Field's and President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. As best as I can recall, we presented her with award for her work. Her husband was there, too.
She was inspirational and had a special presence about her. I never forgot. Ironically, I still have the photo of her, John and two others.
It was a special and memorable moment ...
