i was just watching the Oscars memorial tribute from last year and she stuck out to me being a black animator. I wish I had known about her earlier or had a chance to meet her. RIP to a great animator.

I first knew of her when I was in High School when we were shown her student animation reel at a Saturday scholarship art class. I don't remember if she had visited the class or not, but I wouldn't see her and got to know her until I started working at hanna-barbera in 1978. She was quiet, sweet and very talented. She'll be missed.
