Civil rights activist Lucille Times died August 16, 2021, in Montgomery, Alabama, from complications of Covid-19 at the age of 100. She is being remembered as one of the inspirations for the Montgomery bus boycott.

Please accept my sincere condolences to the family, many, many friends, and colleagues of this wonderful woman Ms. Lucille Times. We have the hope and trust in God that one day there will be no more diseases, like this Covid-19, what a wonderful time that will be. May the God of all comfort who is the hearer of prayers be with you in your time of need with his loving kindness and peace as He strengthens you to cope during this difficult time. Ms. Lucille Times will be missed, but her contributions not forgotten. May family, friends and extended family cherish her memories.
