To the Taylor Family, we thank Charley for his football career, but we are most grateful for his spirit. He was a man to model after for so many. We can't all be NFL players, but we can all have a positive impact in the lives of our family and friends. We thank you for all you've done. May you receive the words "well done good and faithful servant".

Awe, Charley... Now in God's arms. You were not just an awesome, incredible athlete whom I loved to watch break tackles, but you were also a good, warm & decent man.

Readers may recall the 1972 NFL Championship game at RFK when many players & staff had the darn flu! Despite many sick players, Skins still won the Championship!!!

To your beautiful family: On behalf of myself and family, please accept our deepest sympathies and love for your husband, dad and grandad.

Respectfully,
Tami Christophel (Plumer)

A LEGEND IN HIS OWN TIME .
LOVING PRAYERS WITH DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO MR.TAYLOR’S FAMILY AND FRIENDS ❤

Overcame a life-threatening injury during his college years, and went on to become of the greatest of the greats. Such a standout and model of excellence during his pro years, especially during that strong run that Washington had in the '70s.

Rest in peace, Charley. Washington has had a long list of superlative receivers over the decades, and many (including me) believe that you are the top man in that storied tradition. It was a joy to watch you play!
