My heartfelt condolences are offered to the family, many, many friends and colleagues of Tanya Kersey. Tanya Kersey was the founder of the Hollywood Black Film Festival. She established the Hollywood Black Film Festival, showcasing independent films from Black filmmakers. She was greatly admired by many fellow artists and all those who knew her. May the love and many, many special memories you shared with your devoted loved one show how much your life was touched by her. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Tanya Kersey. May her legacy keep her memory alive forever. Thank you for Tanya Kersey's contribution to the Hollywood film industry.

To the Family of Tanya Kersey: When I saw the news about Tanya I was filled with great sadness. As a former performers union representative, Tanya and her late co-author Bruce Hawkins interviewed me for their book "Black State of the Arts". I was honored to be part of it. Tanya was so accomplished. May the wonderful memories of a life well-lived bring you comfort.
