I was on a date with m new wife at the Marriott hotel Berkeley California, and friend Cedric was performing there. I didn't know it was Mr. Sanders performing with him. He was so nice of him to sent with us and play tune for our anniversary. He is truly the greatest!

My heartfelt condolences are offered to the family, many, many friends, colleagues and devoted army fans of Pharoah Sanders. Pharoah Sanders was a saxophonist known for his free jazz and spiritual jazz. He was greatly admired by many fellow artists and all those who knew him. May the love and many, many special memories you shared with your devoted loved one show how much your life was touched by him. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Pharoah Sanders. May his music and legacy keep his memory alive forever. Thank you for Pharoah Sanders' contribution to the Jazz industry.

A true medicine man, restorative music medicine. Pharaoh Sanders was/is creative to make metal, keys, screws and all of the saxophone to be human. His vapors will always be felt. Rest In Plenty!

Pharoah died on September 24, 2022, one day after John Coltrane´s birthday. He passed away peacefully at UCLA Hospital surrounded by his loving family. I was there. We are all still mourning his passing with broken hearts.

I was awakened to Pharoah Sanders with his album The Creator Has A Master Plan. Since the first day I heard that album, I saw him live at every venue he appeared at in the Los Angeles Area. I have all of his vinyls, one of which he signed at the Maiden Voyage. He signed it with a felt pen that stretched across the whole album cover. I spoke a little with him that night.

Saw Pharoah perform in Huntingdon (UK) a music experience I will always cherish , he was taken from us three weeks later ... he is now truly an " Astral Traveller" .
