Since 2001 I have held an annual screening of American Movie every Thanksgiving weekend and it is all because of Mike Schank. For me, there is no greater introduction of a character in a movie. When you see Mike for the first time in American Movie you immediately fall in love with him and are more than happy to tag along on their adventures.
Thank you Mike for all the joy you have brought me and my loved ones these twenty plus years. You will forever be in my heart and when I'm asked at the Thanksgiving table what I am thankful for, I will be thankful for Mike Schank.
