Dear Donna and Family,
We are saddened to learn that your dear mom, Helen Washington, has passed away and we send our heartfelt condolences to you during this difficult time. She will surely be missed and never forgotten, and her musical and dancing/ choreographic legacy will live on.

She was a multitalented person with many gifts, and we are thankful she shared her extraordinary musical and dancing talents with us. Thank you, Ms. Washington, for the memories. I remember when I was a younger person, I was fascinated by Isaac Hayes’ music, and I do remember when you shaved your head and danced with the Isaac Hayes Movement stage shows. This was unheard of for women at the time; however, you were unique, confident, and definitely had a presence. You paved the way for many others. Thank you for sharing your songwriting and dancing talents, and for teaching others the art of dance and a dance instructor.

Please continue to treasure the good memories you have and may they soothe your saddened hearts. May prayers strengthen you and cherished memories comfort you, and may God soothe your hearts and comfort you always. May he comfort your broken hearts. 23rd Psalm
