I met Joe Kapp working at Emdal in Sunnyvale, which was a product development and marketing firm that Joe was involved with. He was always genuinely friendly and interested in what you had to say and how you were doing. I´m watching Breakheart Pass right now, which Joe was an actor in and I recognized him immediately. I imagine that he would be happy I recognized him and told my husband all about him and how I met Joe. My thoughts are with you Joe Kapp!!

I´m sorry for your loss. May your memories give you peace and comfort of your loved one. Words fall short of expressing my sorrow for the loss of your loved one. May GOD be with you all during this difficult time. 1 Thessalonians 4:14 For if we have faith that Jesus died and rose again, so too God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in death through Jesus.

Joe Kapp was idolized by so many of us kids during his time in Canada. Truly one of the greatest leaders ever to play the game on and off the gridiron. His charitable causes for underprivileged hispanic youth and many acts of kindness were often administered without photo ops and fanfare. So selfless in all of his accomplishments. R.I.P. Joe you were and always will be my hero.

My wife Jana and I got meet Joe( with our colleagues and clients ) at the 2011 Grey Cup in Vancouver . He was a wonderful guy and great fun to be with. I will remember the weekend forever. To get to meet your hero is pretty cool . Especially when he turns out to be a good guy . As a kid he made me believe the guys playing football in Canada were every bit as good as the guys down south. He was a huge part of Vancouver during his playing time here. R.I.P . Our condolences and prayers are with his family.

As a former employee of Stuft Pizza/Kapp´s Pizza Bar & Grill I had the pleasure of knowing Joe though in a more peripheral way than most. He always was pleasant and good to me so I only have fond memories of Joe. I know he will be missed by his family and friends.

Joe was one tough hombre, and one of the great one-of-a-kind characters in the history of sports and entertainment. Pride of NorCal, The University of California, and those great late '60s Viking teams. 40 for 60! Notable careers in television, film, and coaching too.

You gave it your all, and you had a special irrepressible zest for life, Joe. Memories of you invariably bring smiles to many faces (including mine). A brilliant life and presence, that will never be forgotten.
