I just now found out the passing of Norma Hunt as of last night by watching the Lions/Chiefs game. I remember having run into Lamar on an elevator when I was heading up to the Law firm that I worked at back in the 90´s at the Thanksgiving Tower building on Elm St. You couldn´t miss him and not knowing who he was. The Hunt family has been well known as long as I can remember and the history of what he and his family have done in the NFL. As a fan, from the bottom of my heart, I want to send my deepest condolences to the family for their tremendous loss. They both now have the best seat in the house watching their beloved team in the Chiefs. God Bless the Hunt family

I will always appreciate Norma´s kindness to my mother Janice Ash following the tragic death of my sister Denise Ash 13 - killed in a car accident September 4, 1970. Denise was a Chiefette. Lord, we know that You are the God who comforts us. I pray that You provide a time of comfort and rest for the Hunt Family whose hearts are hurting right now. Hold them in Your embrace, Father. Wrap them in Your love and remind them that though they may have lost someone dear, Mrs. Norma Hunt, they are not alone, for You are with them. Bring to them the hope of Your unfailing love and turn their sadness into gladness. Soothe their heartache as they lean on You for comfort and guidance. I pray that their grief heals smoothly, for You will be with them every step of the way. May they hold on to You for strength, hope, and sustenance. In Jesus´ name, I pray. Amen.

I always hoped to be able to talk to you and tell you "Thank you" for being nice to me. As a young black man and Kansas City native I was always impressed by how gracious you and Mr. Hunt were. When you arrive at Arrowhead I would always offer you a hand. Mr Hunt would always wave me off. I wanted to let you know that I didnt offer help because you were the Hunts, I offered it because you were a nice person.
I met my wife when she was a cheerleader for the Chiefs. Thank you for watching over them and keeping the atmosphere classy for them. We knew of the pressure to do otherwise.
Thankyou for the family atmosphere you maintained during the ten years I worked there.
I tried hard to do my best for the Chiefs as time moved on and this lead to many adventures including three college degrees, over 20 years working for the NFL and best of all the best family of Chiefs fans one could be gifted with.
Sorry to ramble on, obviously your family has had a profound effect on this kid from Westport. Rest in peace Mrs. Hunt and please tell Mr. Hunt, GO CHIEFS!

I met Norma and Lamar in 2005 while constructing the irrigation reservoir on their Franz valley Ranch in Napa County Bidwell Creek. She was a generous, knowledgeable and kind person. She was a real lady and sweetheart We became active in March of dimes during this time and she made very generous donations which we will always remember.
Any of us at from our company who met her are saddened by her passing and grateful for knowing her.
Our condolences go out to Norma's Family.

Norma Hunt was epitomized everything good, with grace, wit, intelligence and enthusiasm. She was the matriarch of Chiefs Kingdom, and it showed in her unwavering support for the NFL, and sports. She was loved by the team, the NFL, and will be missed. RIP with your dear husband Lamar.
