ALAN AND PETER FALK WERE BOTH HILARIOUS IN THE 1979 FILM THE IN LAWS.
THEY WORKED WELL WITH EACH OTHER AND THE RESULT WAS A MEMORABLE FILM. R.I.P. YOU EENTERTAINED SO MANY PEOPLE WITH YOUR TALENT.

I am so overwhelmed with respect for this guy. What a role model he is to the world-- not just as an actor, but as a human being. I've been a fan for 30 years ever since seeing "The Russians are Coming" at age 12. I wrote him a letter when I was 14, and I still have his wonderful response.

To say Alan Atkin was a talented actor is an understatement. He played so many roles but, no matter what role, he gave his best. Truly a master of his craft. Alan Arkin was a genius actor. If he was in a film you knew it was good. He was a favorite of mine as well as gratitude to the talent he passed down to Adam. Alan Arkin had amazing comedic timing. His loss is felt around the world because of his greatness. My prayers for peace and comfort for his family and friends. My heart goes out to you in this loss. I hope you take some comfort in the love of all his fans.

Words fail me, but I'll try. He was one of those rare actors who could play any type of role equally well. He was delightful in "Gross Point Blank" as the overwhelmed psychiatrist. He is one of the few celebrities that I think I would have enjoyed meeting. I'm glad he had such a long life and left so much behind for everyone to enjoy.

No one did it better than Alan in the acting world. Every role he performed was brillant. There were so many that were outstanding. Two of my favorites were Wait Until Dark and The In-Laws. These two films reflect his fantastic ability to do both drama and comedy. May his family find some comfort in the myraid of loving messages left for them on all the websites. Jane M.JH

Arkin Family : there are some few very gifted people where one virtue is uncontained, and is visible. There was that uncommon humility. Very grateful that the producers placed him in 'Sobibor' which brought out the very deep part of his personality that made the role of that Jewish camp prisoner perfectly. There was an uncommon bravery in this fine actor.

You were amazing in The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming (yes the title was repeated twice to those reading this; I laughed till I cried. Have seen it soooooo many times; actually have the DVD. It was fun visiting Ft Bragg, CA and Mendocino, CA to see the filming locations. You gave so much joy and laughter to so many. Your talent will endure through the ages in memory for your many, many fans. Thank you Alan Arkin.

I met Alan when I was 7 years old, at John Batista’s home in Hopewell Junction, NY. Alan was so incredibly kind to me. His wife at the time, Barbara Dana, had just published her book Zucchini, and I was gifted an autographed copy.
36 years ago 7 year old me became enamored with Alan Arkin.
We have lost an incredible human, and we are better to have had him in our lives. All of my love to the family.
