James "Bill" Blackburn

James William "Bill" Backburn, 72 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, January 30, 2022, in a Tulsa hospital with family by his side. He was born on October the 15th of 1949 to his parents, James V. Blackburn and Laurine Jean Downing Blackburn. On July the 14th of 1979, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he took the hand of Mary Ann Williams, and they were married. Over the next 42 years, Bill and Mary Ann shared their lives together and built a family.



Bill graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1968. After high school he attended Oklahoma State University and was a proud member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He later joined the US Marine Corps. In 1977 he established Bill Blackburn Builders.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Blackburn of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two children, Todd Blackburn and his wife Kris of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Tyson Blackburn and his wife Virginia of Tulsa, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Skylar Blackburn Jackson and her husband Derek of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Kayla Robinson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Anthony Blackburn of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Alyssa Blackburn of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cassie Blackburn of Casselberry, Florida, Emilio Rodriguez and his wife Jennifer of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Elijah Rodriguez of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Jeanne Park of Tulsa, Oklahoma, extended family members and Too many wonderful friends to mention.
