William McGuire Obituary

William T. McGuire, III

William (Bill) T. McGuire III was born on August 31, 1951 to James T. and Cavelle McGuire in Ames, Iowa, and passed on July 13, 2021, Broken Arrow, OK.

Bill graduated from Tulsa's Nathan Hale (1969) and from OSU (1973). While at OSU he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He served as supervisor in the family businesses - J T McGuire Construction Co., Shamrock Coal Company, and McGuire Homes. He also worked as a grading construction supervisor for other companies until poor health forced his retirement. Outside of work, Bill enjoyed being a baseball coach and serving as a Boy Scout Scoutmaster for his two sons, tinkering in his garage, and fishing. He was a past member of the Broken Arrow Masonic Lodge #243.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Diana Sue. Bill is survived by his two sons, Justyn McGuire of Owasso and Corey McGuire of Jenks, and granddaughters: Chloe and Harper McGuire. Bill is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Kristie and Andy Armstrong (Jenks); nephew, Drew Armstrong, and his wife, Brooke and family (Dallas, TX); niece, Lindsay Henegar and husband Daniel, and family(Rochester Hills, MI); cousin Steve Kuhn and wife, Gretchen (Springfield, MO) and their grown children; and cousin Jim Kuhn and spouse, Novia. (Tijeras, NM.). Bill's ashes were spread around his favorite fishing spots on Grand Lake per his request.
