Elizabeth Carter Obituary
Elizabeth F. Carter, mother of Alecia Austin, former resident of Stafford and former member of Temple Baptist Church, quietly entered the arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 11, 2022, in Mount Juliet, Tenn.
Mrs. Carter was born on September 5, 1936, to Leroy Finney Sr. and Annie Pearl (née Pitts) Finney in Laurens, Newberry County, S.C., by mid-wife. She spent her formative years in Levittown, Pa., before moving to Va., and then later to Tenn.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A Homegoing service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Temple Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.

The Heavens Gates definitely opened wide to welcome our Lovely Ms. Liz. We were so Blessed to have been young and impressionable teens and children to watch a talented vocalist and woman of God who carried and walked the with Grace and that Luminous Smile. I would feel the hair stand on the back of my neck because her voice was anointed. She was a friend to my Mother and Always referred to us as her´Babies´ . And when it´s all over, I wanna go and take my rest... yes, take my rest. My Deepest Condolences And Sympathies To Alecia Family And Additional Friends Of Old Shiloh Baptist Church ( You Will Always Be Our Family No Matter Your Address) God Bless

She was such a sweet lady. Very active at Shiloh Baptist Church in Bordentown with the Young Adult Choir. Nothing but fond memories of Miss Liz. Rest in Heaven my lady.
