Joseph Rodgers Obituary
Joseph B. Rodgers, a long-term resident of Stafford County, died at the age of 91 on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.
Joseph retired from the U.S. Navy and from the FBI and loved to spend time at his church, with his family, and playing golf.
He is survived by two of his children, Gregory and Michael. He is also survived by 43 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marion; and daughter Deborah.
A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. At the conclusion of services, a repast will be held at Mountain View Baptist Church in King George.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Mountain View Baptist Church – Awana.

My condolences to all who loved this wonderful soul. My years working at Southern Auto Supply with Joe and all of the others there was certainly some of the best years of my life. We weren't merely coworkers ... we were more like family members ... just the way a work environment should be. Joe was a joy to be around ... smiling, laughing, joking, singing and willing to help in any way he could. I will never forget his "smiling" eyes. This world could surely use a lot more of us to set the same type of shining example of what a human being should be in the way Joe always did every day of his full life. He will certainly never be forgotten.
