Judith Johnson Obituary
Judith A. "Judy" Johnson, 80, of Parsons, passed away at 10:20 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Judith Ann Robinson was born on August 12, 1942, to Rex Humbert and Ruby Maxine (Fridley) Robinson in Enid, Oklahoma. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Parsons, where she grew up and attended schools. After graduating from Parsons High School in 1959, she earned an Associate's degree from Labette Community College.
On April 29, 1960, Judy and Jimmie A. Johnson were united in marriage in Parsons, Kansas. The couple lived in New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma, before settling back in Parsons near Big Hill Lake. She worked for several years at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant as an Environmental Analyst. After her husband passed away in 2010, Judy moved to Collinsville, Oklahoma, to be near her family.
She attended the First Baptist Church in Collinsville. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She loved being outdoors, spending time with her three dogs, bird watching, and caring for plants and flowers. She also enjoyed drawing.
Survivors include:
One son – Scott Johnson and his wife, Amanda, of Collinsville, Oklahoma
One daughter – Brenda Johnson of Parsons, Kansas
Six grandchildren – Jeff Johnson, Amanda Johnson, Matt Johnson, Ryan May, Aaron May, and Molly Stockman
One great-granddaughter
One brother – Jack Robinson of Collinsville, Oklahoma
One sister – Joan Wadsworth of Johnstown, Pennsylvania
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Johnson, on August 3, 2010; and one sister, Sue Miller.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2022, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Following cremation, burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Ward-Wiseman Animal Haven. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
