Joan Marcini Obituary
Joan Young Marcini, 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 18, 2022, to be with her Lord and Savior.
Joan was born on August 12, 1948, to Edwin and Gertrude Young. She retired with 32 years as an Administrator at Marine Corps Base Quantico. She enjoyed her knitting and crocheting as well as reading her novels. Joan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Joan was a devoted member of the Canaan's Faith Church of God, the New Hope United Methodist Church and loved to sing in the choir.
She is survived by her beloved husband, James Marcini; son, Stephen Tolson (Debbie) and their daughter, Kaitlyn; twin brother, Wayne Young (Phyliss) and their children, Chad and Karen; brother, Gerry Young (Vicki) and their children, Diana and Jessica; and many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2022, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. A private interment will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022, in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
