I´m so sorry to hear of Gary´s passing. I´m so thankful that Gary and I could spend some quality time together in April of 2022. I will cherish my memory how we were able to talk and review past experiences together, and how we laughed and wept together during my last visit in Tulsa. Gary was a wonderful, kind, and Godly man - and a friend like no other. Gary and I got to know each other while we were students at Taylor University. Gary and I would have some great discussions about a myriad of topics - from serious spiritual things to the mundane trivia. While college students at Taylor University we had some fun times riding horses south of Upland at the the Lee Lai Lo Ranch where I was employed riding and grooming horses. Gary was our Best Man at our wedding on July 15, 1976. One of the things we reviewed and laughed about when we were together April 2022 was that when Gary drove my Opel Manta manual 5 speed on our "chivalry drive" he struggled with operating the clutch and shifting gears and made my car jump, lurch forward and die a few times. I will miss my friend. My life was enriched for knowing Gary. Our prayers are with you Martha and your entire family for God´s sustaining strength to be with you all. I wish I could have been there for Gary´s Celebration of Life Service, but with all we have had to do to get ready for our move to Texas it wasn´t possible. I will never forget how fun it was to interact with my uncle (Garyl). He always made me laugh when he and my dad were together. He was such a great uncle to me. I felt like I was treated like his daughter since he only had sons. I loved asking Garyl about our jewish heritage. I learned so much from him. I will always have a fond memory of celebrating Hanukkah with him and Martha. As a child, I recall loving the presents every day and lighting the menorah! I had never experienced that before. I also loved watching Garyl & Martha interact. Their relationship was so special to watch. They treated each other with such love and respect. I will always keep these memories close to my heart. Rest in peace uncle Garyl. We know you are in a much better place now. Love you!

Gary is greatly missed. He fought his disease with such grace and dignity. His music is his legacy. His family is blessed with him setting a great life example.

Many memories of shared experiences riding horses and working with his son ari and other youth at shepherds fold ranch. Gary was always willing to listen and help others reflect on things in their lives. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

Dear Martha, we are so grateful you contacted us a few weeks ago so we were able to visit briefly with you and Gary. We have so many fond memories of our times spent with you all at our Shabbat gatherings. Gary will always hold a special place in our hearts. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be eternal!
