Robert Frey

1931 - 2023

Robert Frey, former resident of Sand Springs, OK, was born on 04/19/1931 in Lancaster County, PA, peacefully passed away at home in Oklahoma City on 12/22/2023. He was 92 years old. Robert is survived by his children, Bobby, Patty, John and Kimberly as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hazel, and his two brothers Ed and Mel. Robert proudly served his country in the Korean War, graduated from college in Texas, and eventually settled in Sand Springs while working as an electrical engineer for National Tank which later became CE-Natco. His work in the oil and gas industry took him all over North, Central and South America and he would often return from business trips with unique items representing many different cultures. He served for decades as a deacon at Broadway Baptist Church where he also assisted in the audio department, ensuring the Sunday service was broadcast locally on KTOW am radio, and for many years he drove in the bus ministry. A kind and gentle man, he was happy to allow others the spotlight, preferring to serve in the background. He accepted Christ into his heart as a teenager and lived his faith daily throughout his life. He was loved by many, enjoyed hearing and telling a good story, laughing often, and serving others. His life stands as a testament to living with integrity, faithfulness to God, gentle kindness towards others, and a spirit of generosity towards everyone he met.
