Linda Galloway Obituary

Linda Truslow Galloway peacefully passed away at home on December 24, 2023 after many long illnesses. She was born in Stafford on September 19, 1955 and continued to be a lifelong resident of the area including graduating from Stafford Senior High School.

Linda worked her community in many areas prior to her retirement. From babysitting in her home to working at the Surgi-Center of Central Virginia; every job was in service to others. No positions were more important to her than working with special needs individuals at Stafford High School and the disAbility Resource Center. She loved visiting the beach and enjoying dinner and drinks at local restaurants. One of her greatest qualities was hospitality and she showed that by welcoming people into her house all the time.

She is survived by her husband Donald L. Galloway, Jr.; her son Taylor Ashby Truslow Galloway of Fredericksburg, Virginia and the light of her eye and granddaughter Annabelle Blue Galloway of Fredericksburg, Virginia; her son D. Lee Galloway III of Keswick, Virginia and his wife Julie as well as a daughter Adrienne and two granddaughters. She is also survived by her brother Robert Truslow (Judy) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; her sister Janie Berry of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and her sister Susan Alevy (David) of Jacksonville, Florida. There are many nieces and nephews, family members, and friends that will continue to miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Noble "Blue" Truslow and Phyllis Truslow; her grandparents Adrian and Florence Truslow and Robert and Virginia James. Also preceding her in death is her daughter-in-law Courtney Galloway (Lee).

Per her request, there will not be a memorial service. However, please take time on your next visit to a beach, when listening to beach music, or enjoying a great meal to think of her and how much she enjoyed those things.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to charity that helps those in need.

I went to SHS with Linda, class of '73. Linda was such a nice, friendly, kind soul. Rest In Peace now, Linda. You have completed you job here "with flying colors". When I go to the beach on Sunday and every day from now on, I will remember you. As I watch the pelicans glide effortlessly above the waves, I will think of you with a smile. Prayers for your family and loved ones.
