Kevin Garrett Obituary
Kevin Andrew Galendez Garrett, 22 of Fredericksburg passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024.
Kevin graduated from Stafford High School in 2020 and attended VCU. He enjoyed amateur music production, watching movies, anime, and other activities with his family and friends. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America.
He is survived by his parents, Chris and Romualda (Riza), brother Justin, grandparents, Charles and Marsha Garrett and Leonarda and June DaCallos.
He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles, Tony and Rose Bahan, Dave and Cherry Grainger, Shawn and Tiffany Galendez, Charles (Tony) and Nicole Garrett, Joe and Marigold Galendez, and Amy Galendez; and numerous cousins, Krista Bahan, Ava and Koda Galendez, Benjamin, Liberty and Justice Garrett, Dalton and Candace Grainger, Will and Liony Maynard, Joshua and Julia Ehler, Rhett and Payton Burk, and John Tyler Espino.
He is preceded in death by his Grandpa, Felix Galendez, and cousin, Evan Weedman.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

My deepest sympathies on the death of your son Kevin. My baby boy Kevin, at 3 1/2 years old died in 1998. My heart breaks for you and I know the ups and downs you are feeling and will be feeling. There are no words to comfort us in the loss of a child. I am also The Compassionate Friends Fredericksburg Chapter Leader which is a self-help support group for all bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents who have lost a child.
