Derwin W. Hartman, 89, of Elkhorn, NE passed away August 10, 2025.
A visitation for Derwin will be held Thursday, August 14 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkhorn followed by the Celebration of Life service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Elkhorn. Memorials may be made to the Wakefield, NE Community Schools.

Derwin Hartman and his family attended the same church as my family and I
did when growing up in Newcastle, NE. He was a Sunday School teacher. His twin sisters, Shirley and Sharon, were good friends and classmates of my late sister, Cherie Beyeler Bauer. While a student in education at Wayne State College, some of us education students visited Derwin's class at Wakefield. I extend my heartfelt sympathy to Derwin's family. He was an excellent human being.
