Nancy was born in Auburn, NY and grew up on the family farm along the Oatka Creek (McPherson Orchards) in LeRoy, New York. It was always her favorite place, and she loved walking the hills and through the orchards on the farm, it was "home." She was a proud graduate of Michigan State University and watched every football game. Nancy worked at the J.L. Hudson Company in retail and for many years was a travel agent, which was her passion.
She was proud to have traveled to 53 countries around the world and while she enjoyed the landmarks and history, it was the people she met that she loved the most. She instilled her love of travel in her children, grandchildren and everyone she met, given the chance. Nancy and her husband Bill spent the winters for years in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and loved the community and culture of Mexico. Nancy loved singing in the choir at Kirk of the Hills and was involved for years in Bible study and Circle. She loved playing tennis, bridge, entertaining, and cooking amazing meals for family and friends, reading, and was an avid gardener. Nancy also volunteered her time, serving for years with Meals on Wheels
