Nicholas H. Sibley Hammond, IN Nicholas H. Sibley, 14, of Hammond, IN, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2005. He is survived by his mother, Judith Sibley and Bob Sertic; one brother, Steven Sibley; two sisters: his twin sister, Brittany; and Jessique; one step-brother, Bobby Sertic; one step-sister, Toni Sertic; grandmother, Carol Sibley; two aunts: Sandy (Dan) Krieter and Brenda (Doug) DuVall; three uncles: Herbert (Sheila) Sibley, Jr., Ronald (Chrissy) Sibley and Dave (Shirley) Brown; numerous cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his grandfather, Herbert James Sibley, Sr. and uncle, Richard Sibley. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 7, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. from LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN, with Rev. Theodore Mens, officiating. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Nicholas H. Sibley Memorial Fund, c/o Lake Federal Bank, 7048 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, IN 46323. Nicholas was a lifetime resident of Hammond, enjoyed playing basketball at the Jean Shepherd Center, loved skateboarding, was a member of Hessville Youth Hoops and currently was an 8th grade student at Scott Middle School in Hammond, IN.
