My favourite St Helens coach. I used to write a fanzine for the club in the late 90s and named it after Mike. He helped us to dream and restored our sense of pride in the club. Thank you for some wonderful memories x

Mike you were an inspiration to me as I was growing up.I remember fondly running around wearing either one of your french or kiwi jerseys with Brian.
I will cherish the memories of the times I had at the akarana after work with you shaky grubby and steve and the life lessons I learnt from you.You turned a group of teenage boys not only into a champion league team but a bunch of fine young men as well.
The whole league fraternity are going to miss you mike and I send my deepest sympathies to Maureen ,Brian and families.Have a beer with Milt Reg and Athol ...the shearer street crew together again...Geoff Webber
