Age 68, who passed away peacefully at home in Palmdale, Calif.  June 11, 2018 ending 5 year cancer struggle. Born December 25, 1949 in Fresno, Calif, resident of Sylmar and Palmdale, Calif., doing construction. A Vietnam Veteran, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with V device twice, 3 time recipient of the Purple Heart Medal for combat wounds received, 2 Army Commendation Medals. Lifetime member of DAV and Order of the Purple Heart.
Louie was preceded in death by his father Manuel Acosta, mother Celia Acosta and brother Michael Acosta.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Acosta, step-son Darryl Moore, step-daughter Misty Gambel, grand- children: Darius Moore, Dezirae Moreno, Xavier Moreno, Gianni Gambel.  Siblings:  Henry Acosta, Ernest Acosta, Rebecca Murdoch, Steve Acosta, Daniel Acosta, Teresa Acosta, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  
Memorial and interment at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 North Sierra Highway, Newhall, CA date to be determined.

Wow, tho I had been expecting it this still hits hard. Louie I love ya my friend and will miss you much and forever am in your debt for all the help you had given me over the years. My heart, love and deepest sympathy go out to all his family whom I know he loved and wouldn't want to have left even tho you will all meet again one day. My heart especially goes out to his wife Brenda who I know he loved with all his heart and to us Grandson Darius who tho i only seen briefly when he was younger, I feel I almost know and watched grow up through the stories and updates he always gave me. he bragged about you allthe time and was very proud and loved you very much.
