Dear Mark and family
Polly and I just found out about the passing of "Mamma Sue". We had the pleasure of meeting all of you when we adopted "Vixon" a.k.a. Minnie Mouse. All the love and care that Sue gave will surely be missed. We learned a lot from her. She is now at the rainbow bridge with Jazzy and she will be watching over her brood.
Our thoughts and prayers have been with her through this journey and remain with Mark and all involved with Silver Screen.

we just recently found out about the loss of Dr. Sue. our deepest sympathy go out to you Mark and her entire family. we met Dr. Sue 6 years ago when we moved back here from Arizona. Abbott Road Hospital was only about a half mile from our house. We have 4 cats and she treated each one of them,,,as if they were her own. My one kitty Andre' had some serious problems and in the office i was so scared of losing him ,i'd cry and cry. She not only treated the kitties with love and kindness, she also would comfort me. With her being such an animal lover, she knew these animals are more than just animals ...they are a part of the family. dearly loved. there were plenty of times when i was scared that she put her arms around me...to help me to. Her kindness and love will never be forgotten. Dr. Sue will be missed everyday by us and many, many more.

Our prayers are with the family for the loss of Dr Sue. She was a wonderful doctor to our pet Charmin. Dr. Sue was there the first day we got her to the day we had to put her down. She was always
helpful with her through all her illnesses. I know Dr. Sue is taking care of all the animals in heaven. She will be missed by all!!!

There are so many things I have learned from Sue, I could fill the pages of a book. Her grace, kindess and ability to always know the right answer are something I will always cherish. I am a better person just for knowing her. I am often asked how I can tolerate the actions of 2 crazy cats and 2 wiggly aussies, and I always say "they make me smile everyday!" And everyday when I look into the eyes of my silverscreen aussie, I think of our journey together and how I never would have had her if it wasn't for Sue. I think about Sue everyday, and miss her so much. She brought so much to this world and she was taken away from us to soon.
Farewell my friend,
We will keep on smilin and wigglin.

Dear Mark and Family:
Dr. Sue had the greatest repore with my dog, Jessie. Jessie was always nervous and anxious when she entered the exam room, but Dr. Sue was terrific with her. When Dr. Sue spoke to Jessie, she listened so intensly to every word. She was very calming and Jessie let her go about the exam. Dr. Sue was a special person, someone who I enjoyed sharing dog stories with. She truly understood how much you can LOVE your dog!
With sincere sympathy,

My Dear friend Sue
I was thinking the other day that we have known each other for 30 years. Boy that’s a long time. You know we were more than just best friends we were like sisters. We spent almost every minute we were not in school either talking about or riding those horses. We had a lot in common. We were both animal lovers. We had some really fun times; remember when we stayed in the barns overnight at the Hamburg fair and all we heard were the mice running thru the walls, The next year we stayed at my aunts house. And of course you called me a wimp! There were lots of other good times as well. Your mom and dad can vouch for that. I always looked up to you Sue. You always had a positive attitude about life and a strong head on your shoulders. You never let anything stop you, and it showed in your accomplishments. And boy did it pay off. Look at all the friends you have made and all the lives you have touched with that special gift.I will miss you and will never forget you.
Have fun where you are and we will meet again someday.
Love you always Cathy

It was late summer of 1988 and the doors of Abbott Road Animal Hospital opened for business. I was among the first to seek help from this new doctor for my 2 very ill girls, Holly Jean and Muffie Ann. Dr. Susan Bockman Lietzan took excellant care of us that day and many, many more days to follow. It was 14 years worth of days that I choose her to be my dogs, and there were many, only doctor. Dr. Sue was the best at what she did. Her knowledge, her instincts and intuitive abilities, her compassion and kindness for all the animals and people she cared for were second to none. Her spirit was large and strong. You could tell that by being in her presence that she lived her life with purpose and love. This is how I will remember Dr. Susan Bockman Lietzan. My deepest sympathy to Mark and family. Please know that God loves you all and is holding you close to His heart.

What can I say about what Dr. Sue has done for me in a short 4 1/2 years. To start with she gave me three dogs that i will love and cherish for the rest of my life. She got me into dog shows, which has become and will remain the greatest passion that I will ever come across in my lifetime. She introduced me to people that i know hold very dear to me. I Truly believe that you Dr. Sue have made me a better person. You've taught me to treat people kindly. You've taught that dog shows aren't a matter of life and death, and that one 5 letter word goes along way (chill). The passing of Dr. Sue has been a very upsetting expierience, however I honestly believe that Dr. Sue would not want us to mourn her death, on the contrary she would want us to celebrate her life. She accomplished more in her far to short liftime then people could accomplish in 100 years.
Dr. Sue isn't gone, She's behind every Silverscreen Aussie's eyes. She's in everyone, guiding them through their lives, and I myself find my self lucky to be able to call her my mentor, but most importantly one of the best friends one could ever have.
Thank you Dr. Sue, Little Tim.

In life there are few people who touch our lives in such a way that they will never be forgotten. Dr. Sue is one of those people, I am a dog breeder and have been a patient of hers for many years. I have seen her ability to help animals in a way that only someone with a great gift can do. She became very important in my life and I considered her a friend. Together we were able to help families adopt a lifelong friend and companion. I will miss so much about her not only her professionalism but her kind presence in my life. God Bless you Dr. Sue.

Mark, family, and staff at Abbott Road Animal Hospital:
There are no words to adequately express the feeling of tremendous loss the community, the Veterinary community, and I feel with Sue's passing. She will leave an empty space that I doubt anyone will ever be able to fill. Personally, I valued her friendship and I had tremendous respect for her as a veterinarian. She was always there when my dogs needed an excellent vet. She helped me through several crises and I knew that I had one of the best diagnosticians and vets I have ever known caring for my animals. Sue will be greatly missed. I am sorry that I was unable to attend the funeral due to out of town commitments. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Leslie Personett

Our sympathy to the family and associates of Dr. Sue. Although we did not know her personally, our son Bret worked for her at Abbott Rd. and spoke so highly of her. She taught him so much in the space of one year and he enjoyed working there so much. We will always be grateful. God bless.

Some people have the gift of just smiling and they light up the world. Dr. Sue was such a person. She was a great vet and greater friend. Through the years, she treated all of our canine "girls" not just with medicine but also plenty of TLC.
Sue will be very missed but Heaven is certainly rejoicing. One of God's best has returned home. God bless Sue's family and may He give you strength during this difficult time.
And, Dr. Sue, please give a hug and kiss to Becky, Heather, Amy, Mandy,Lacey and, of course, to the love of my life, Stephen. Rest in peace, my friend.
