Frederick Patton

PATTON , Frederick William "Fred" September 20, 1932 - September 5, 2009 It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Fred Patton. Fred will be lovingly remembered by his family, wife of fifty-three years, Andie; children Greg (Mandy), Wade (Marianne), Rhonda (Keith) and Tim (Jocelyn). He will be remembered fondly by his much-loved grandchildren, Kayla, Natalie, Bryce and Shawn. Fred was born in Vancouver, BC on September 20, 1932. He passed away quietly in Calgary, AB on September 5, 2009 at the age of 76 years at the Sarcee Hospice. He was predeceased by his parents George and Etta, and brother Ralph. Fred, a long-time Calgary heating and air-conditioning contractor, was well known in the industry. His son, Greg, is carrying on his legacy. As an avid outdoorsman, Fred instilled his love of fishing and hunting in his kids and grandchildren. He loved all dogs and spoiled them with wonderful walks and infamous "cookies". Following Fred's wishes, a private family memorial will be honoured at a later date. You did the best you could Dad, sleep well. In lieu of flowers, Fred's wishes would include that donations be made to the Calgary Humane Society (4455 - 110 Avenue S.E., Calgary, T2C 2T7). The family wants to recognize and thank the kind and supportive staff at the Tom Baker Centre, Foothills Hospital and the Sarcee Hospice for all of their excellent care for Fred over the years.
