Lavesa Elaine Endres

Corpus Christi - Lavesa Elaine Endres, age 62, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021, following her battle with cancer. She was born on October 21, 1958 to Elain Elmer Barnes and Martha Jane Barnes in Lubbock, Tx. Lavesa married her husband David Craig Endres of 35 years on August 10, 1985. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and teacher, devoted to her family. She graduated Mary Carroll High School in 1977. She was involved in many school activities, but her favorite was the Carroll HS Band where she served as band president. She earned a bachelor's and teaching certifications from Corpus Christi State University (now TAMU-CC) and spent over 30 years teaching within CCISD. She started teaching sixth and seventh grade English at Robert Driscoll Middle School. Later, she transferred to Woodlawn Elementary School where she taught forth and fifth grades. She worked to organize the PTA at Woodlawn in her early years and served as treasurer for the organization. She was active in her children's various activities including baseball, supporting them through academic competitions and serving as the Pack Master for Pack 007.

She is proceeded in death by her mother, Martha Jane Barnes and one brother, Marty Elain Barnes. She is survived by her husband, David Craig Endres, her father Elain Elmer Barnes, one brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Leticia Barnes, her two sons, Derek Craig Endres and Dustin Clay Endres and one niece and nephew, Erica Lysette Barnes and Joshua Lance Barnes.

Memorial Services will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church, 6301 Yorktown Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX 78414 on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 starting at 6pm. There will be no grave side service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory to the American Cancer Society.

A beautiful person with a beautiful soul , she taught for many years , touched so many children’s lives . She will forever hold a special place in many hearts . To David her husband , Derek and Dustin , her sons , your family is thinking of you everyday and praying for you to have peace and comfort . I love you all .
