Rosemary Isabel Thornburg was born on September 8, 1935 to Vaughn Odessa Thornburg and Virginia Mary Strebig Thornbug in Garrett, Indiana. She is survived by her two brothers Peter Odessa Thornburg, William Henry Anthony Thornburg, seven nieces and nephews, and her lifelong friend, Donna Fain. Rosemary's life was dedicated to the service of others as a nurse. She worked at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana and later moved to Colorado where she worked throughout the Denver area including Rocky Mountain Hospital and St. Anthony's Hospital. She loved her poodles and creating beautiful handwork pieces. In retirement she spent her time with family and friends and donating to a wide variety of charitable organizations. Rosemary died on December 9, 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Foothills Animal Shelter in Golden, Colorado https://foothillsanimalshelter.org/.

Rosemary was a very dear friend to my sister Twila Paul. They shared their live for dogs and their nursing. God bless you Rosemary . May you and Twila be at peace now.

Rosemary had known me from infancy into adulthood. A very close and beloved family friend, though she felt more like family. I’m blessed to have had such a wonderful person in my life. She is so dearly loved and missed.
My condolences go out to her family. May you find peace in knowing she is at rest.

Rosemary was a wonderful person and friend. She helped us so much when our kids were little. She will be greatly missed. We are sending prayer and condolences to her family.
