(1957-2021) Jean Rulon Oakes, 63, a lifelong resident of West Chester, passed peacefully on Friday, January 15th in her home in Westtown, surrounded by family. Jean was one of seven children raised by Harold and Mary Rulon and a graduate of Henderson in ‘75. Jean was married to Bubby for 40 years and together they proudly raised three daughters. Her love for her family was evident in every way and radiated through seven beautiful grandchildren. Her vibrant spirit will forever hold memories in our hearts. To honor her love of nature, a celebration of Jean’s life will be held in late Spring in the garden of her home in Westtown. Condolences may be made by

Jeannie, I remember all the great times we had as kids. Swimming at Schlegel, dancing to the music from the juke box your dad put in. Family gatherings together etc. Until we meet again. I love you !!!!

My girl, I remember our crazy times in HS, wish we could go back. So glad I got to see you 3 years ago here in Florida. You were a trooper! Same bubbly spirit and sense of humor! For now, my girl, you got your wings and are looking out for all of us. Godspeed until we meet again. Love you ❤
