KILCULLEN, Robert B. Robert B. Kilcullen of Denver, Colorado, formerly of the Dallas, Texas area died on Saturday, August 24 in the presence of his family, following a period of declining health. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Estelle and Bernard Kilcullen, on May 13, 1934, and married Kathryn Hall on June 23, 1962, in Waterloo, Iowa. Bob graduated from Southwest High School in St. Louis and received a scholarship to Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas, where he majored in Art and lettered 4 years in football. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears where he played for 9 years as a defensive end and tackle. Kilcullen was a member of the 1963 Chicago Bear World Championship Team, defeating the New York Giants. In 1984, as president of the NFL Alumni, Dallas Chapter, Kilcullen along with Lee Roy Jordon and Jim Ray Smith, in cooperation with the Dallas Cowboy's launched the 1rst Annual Welcome Home Cowboy Luncheon. This charitable event continues today to benefit numerous charities including the Neurofibromatosis Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs and the Cowboy's Charitable Foundation. Throughout his Commercial Real Estate Career and since his retirement in 2001, Kilcullen, has continued to pursue his art in various diverse ways. A bronze crucifix he designed is installed in the chapel of The Prince of Peace Catholic Church, in Plano, Texas.
