Noal Allred Obituary

Noal W. Allred 1957 ~ 2008 OGDEN - Noal Warren Allred died at his home on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. He was born on July 25, 1957 at Fairchild Air Force Base near Spokane, Washington. He was the son of Warren Duke Allred and Nola Marie Wheelwright Allred. Until recently he was the proprietor of One Stop Smoke Shop in West Valley City. Noal was a bright little boy with a great sense of humor, even as a child. Because he was born on the 25th of July he always insisted that the Pioneer Day parade was actually being held to celebrate his birthday. He loved to eat "hang-a-burgers" and he liked white bread so much, that between the age of about five and six, he ate nothing but white bread for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Noal had a tender heart and he loved animals, especially cats. Noal, Dolly will miss you and wonders where you are and Pumpkin, the most beloved of your cats, wants to know where you have been. Noal was a wonderful uncle to Dylan, Julie, Corey, Gabriel, and Flora. He loved to tease Julie and Corey when they were little and when they got a bit older they loved to tease him right back. He gave great gifts to Gabriel and Flora. When Dylan was a baby, Uncle Noal could always stop him from crying by walking the floor with him and patting his back. Noal had some very loyal friends in his life, although after his best pal, Ryan Jensen, passed away, Noal thought he might not ever find a good friend again. But Lynn Ross and Noal were good buds for at least twenty years. At the hospital, as we gathered to say goodbye, Lynn said, "it was my privilege to know Noal." Noal was a very loving man to Christina Christensen and her children. Ashley, Justin, and Mikal thought the world of their "step-dad." Noal and Cynthia Bezyack were close for many years. Cynthia, you were never far from Noal's thoughts. Noal had a great sense of humor and was a great story teller. He could (and often would) expound for hours on any topic. You could count on him for a lively and entertaining conversation. And when it came to knowledge of the unusual and the arcane, Noal was your man. He was the king of trivia. We were all surprised that Noal chose to leave this world when he did because he had a unique view of politics and the outcome of this fall's election was of great interest to him. Noal, your baby sister, Penny, loves you and will always miss you, as will your friend James Dayley. Your brother, Bill forgives you again for blacking his eye with a shoe 40 plus years ago. Your brother, Scott wishes you could have seen the sun filled blue sky the day after you died. Your mother, Nola, said, "Goodnight son, and may flights of angels see you to your rest". Noal Allred's mortal remains will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered in some of the places he loved the best. Friends and family will be contacted about a memorial service for Noal at a later date. We will all miss you and we are all filled with sadness that life always had to be so hard for you. As a last gesture of generosity, Noal donated his organs. Funeral Directors, Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary. Send condolences to the family at: www.lindquistmortuary.com

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope the memories and the treasured items that belonged to Noal will keep him forever alive in your heart. To Penny, and the entire Allred family, my thoughts are with you at this difficult time. I hope the love of friends and family will bring you comfort. Noal was always kind to me and I appreciated his nonconformist ways and views. I have fun memories of him and his friend Ryan teasing me and Penny and looking out for us.
With love and sympathy, Helga

Remember

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
