She was also an accomplished bridge player. She loved to travel, having been across most of the United States with her husband and then Alaska, Hawaii, France and Italy with her sons and their families. She was exceptionally kind and generous. Mrs. Wiley attended the University of Texas from 1944 to 1948. She was one of a very few women to study business back then. Always smiling and quick with a quip that would make others laugh, Mrs. Wiley was always a delight to those around her. She was also active in her church and volunteer work in the community. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Wiley; and her parents, Guy W. and Reba Mosley. Survivors: Sons, Bill of Senoia, Ga., and Mike of Austin; sister, Marilyn Proctor of Fort Worth; grandsons, Michael, Austen and Ben, all of Atlanta, and Matt Wiley of Austin; and daughters-in-law, Marianne Woods Wiley of Austin and Isabelle Wiley of Senoia.

Sudie has always been the most kind, thoughtful, smiling and cheerful person. And, I thought, a delicate flower...until our families explored the crags and valleys of Colorado. Sudie was among the first in horseback riding and mountain adventures, and devoured as much trout caught fresh from the streams and grilled over an open fire, as her rambunctious boys.

Aunt Sudie was always so sweet and so much fun. She was interested in everything and everyone. She loved to come to Fort Worth to shop and go to the museums. She was always patient and good humored when Uncle Jim drove around and around looking at houses in Fort Worth, or when he teasingly blamed her for any aggrevation that came up. She always had a cheerful and enthusiastic attitude that made her a joy to be around.

Mrs. Wiley opened her home to many young men growing-up in Midland that were friends of Bill and Mike. She was a lovely lady that always had a smile. The Wiley home was a wonderful place. Bill and Mike, your parents were the best.
