Lela and I worked together at Mt Carmel for a number of years. She was nurturing and kind and so proud of her family.

Lela was such a nurturing nurse I worked with at MT Carmel she blessed many families including mind when I had my own children. I still remember her kind advise as a new mother. Still have some of the poems she gave me about love life and parenting. Know she will be missed .

To the entire Golden Family,
Roger and I are so sorry to hear of Lela’s passing. What a wonderful matriarch for your families, and how blessed you were to have parents like John and Lela. That blessing is evident in the closeness of your families, and in the way you all loved and cared for them so well. We are so very grateful for the opportunity to have seen her one last time just weeks ago. . We treasure our memories of these special Lakeside neighbors, such as Lela’s tea for her Flo’s Fab ladies, youR dad offering me ( and me enjoying) multiple times an egg sandwich for breakfast, watching John lean on the suburban to chat, their graciousness of taking us to dinner at the VFW, your mom sharing her memories of watching her children coming up the hill to the campground, me asking your dad if he knew “there was a lake down there” , and all of us beIng awakened on more than one morning to your dad saying “xj*#!=#&&$!”,
...being impressed when I ran into Lela at Easton going to an “Apple class“ and again at a bus stop on UC’s graduation day which was a delightful surprise for our entire family, and her recommending the book “Gift from the Sea” which I still enjoy to this day.
They were special, endearing, much loved, and we are forever thankful that they helped make up the fabric of our own lives. We know that Lela is happy to be reunited with John and to be in the presence of the Lord.
With prayers for Blessings, peace and comfort for you all in the days ahead.
