in Sunnyvale and San Jose.
When his marriage to Margie ended in the early 1960s, he moved to

Here he met Randi, who would become his second wife. They had two sons,
Finn and Erik. He was promoted and transferred to Hayward, Sacramento,
Hanford and finally to the Main Office in San Francisco where he was
manager of many departments, eventually becoming Executive Manager of
Property Management and Planning & Development. He served on many
boards and commissions over the years, both in connection with his work
and in the civic arena. In 1974 the family moved to Castro Valley, where
they have remained. He retired in 1993.
He was also a 56 year member of Bjornson Lodge, Sons of Norway, in
Oakland, where he served five terms as president. He was also delegate to
many District and International Conventions.
Randi's family is in her native Norway, and he traveled to Norway at least
20 times, often combined with travel to other parts of Europe, including
three visits to Russia. The family also took many trips throughout the US
and Canada, and after the boys were grown, Harold and Randi took many
cruises and other tours to many exciting places.
